Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in patients of all ages. Your primary goal will be to help individuals overcome speech and language difficulties, enhancing their quality of life and promoting effective communication. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule during regular business hours.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
- Provide therapy sessions to patients in order to improve their speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, psychologists, and educators, to develop integrated treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on techniques to enhance communication and manage disorders.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records.
- Stay updated on the latest research and techniques in speech therapy.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic approach towards patients at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech Therapist in the state.
- Prior experience in speech therapy is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of various speech and language disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
- Proficient in using computer software and documentation tools.
