Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Utica, New York
Shift Type: 12-hour Evening Shift
Submission Requirements:

• Must reside 75 miles away from the facility
• Up-to-date resume with 2+ years of ED experience including some PEDS experience and travel documentation
• 2 recent ED Charge/Manager RN references
• Skills Checklist matching specialty
• Driver's license with address matching demographics
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• NURSYS Report for license verification with ACTIVE NY License
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at the time of submission
• EMR Experience Required: EPIC

Unit Specifics:

• Common patient diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
• Patients: Newborns, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
• Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds (2 Triage, 40 Acute, 6 Super Track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 Psych)
• Required Drips & Medications: Pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), Vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), Anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), Sedation (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK), Heparin, Insulin

Shift Details:

• Shift Timing: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
• Block Scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
• Overtime available after 48 hours
• RN Ratio: Acute 1:4; Subacute 1:6; Trauma 1:1; Psych 1:6; CDU 1:5
• Charge Capability: HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Floating Required: Yes
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
