Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of nurses and healthcare professionals. CNAs assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient health status, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Help patients with feeding and mobility
3. Take vital signs and record patient information
4. Assist nurses with medical procedures
5. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
6. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
7. Follow care plans and communicate any changes in patient condition to healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well as part of a healthcare team
6. Compassion and empathy for patients
7. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients
8. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
