Job Title: RN - Labour and Delivery
Job Summary:
As an RN specializing in Labour and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing care for expectant mothers before, during, and after childbirth. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure a safe and comfortable delivery experience for both the mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess the progress of labour
2. Administer medications and pain relief as needed
3. Assist with the delivery of the baby
4. Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers
5. Educate mothers on newborn care and breastfeeding
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop a comprehensive care plan
7. Ensure a clean and safe environment for both mother and baby
8. Document patient information accurately and timely
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. Certification in Labour and Delivery Nursing (L&D) a plus
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
6. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
7. Ability to work well as part of a team
8. Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
