Job Title: Social Worker
Job Summary:
As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals and families facing challenges such as mental health issues, substance abuse, poverty, domestic violence, and more. You will work to connect clients with community resources, provide counseling and advocacy, and help them navigate complex systems to improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments of clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
2. Provide counseling and emotional support to clients and their families
3. Connect clients with necessary resources such as housing, food, healthcare, and employment assistance
4. Advocate for clients' rights and access to services
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and other professionals to coordinate care
6. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of client interactions and progress
7. Stay informed about current social work practices and policies
8. Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies
9. Participate in team meetings and case consultations
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
2. State licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW, LMSW, etc.)
3. Experience working in a social service setting, preferably with diverse populations
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Knowledge of community resources and support services
7. Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
8. Empathy and compassion for clients facing difficult situations
9. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
