Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of healthcare professionals to provide support in various medical settings, including clinics, hospitals, and physician offices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong desire to help patients receive quality care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record patients' vital signs
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Educate patients on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
- Sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urine tests
- Assist with patient referrals and follow-up care
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- CPR certification
