Job Title: RN Emergency Room
Job Summary:
The RN Emergency Room is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room department. They must assess patient needs, implement and evaluate nursing care plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival in the Emergency Room
2. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers
3. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
4. Coordinate patient care with other members of the healthcare team
5. Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment plans
6. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
7. Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as necessary
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency room setting
3. CPR and ACLS certification
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
7. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
