Job Title: CNA LTC (Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Long Term Care facility. The CNA LTC will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and ensure the comfort and well-being of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
2. Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
3. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
4. Help with transferring and repositioning residents to prevent bedsores.
5. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
6. Keep patient rooms clean and organized.
7. Follow care plans and communicate with healthcare team members.
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures.
9. Participate in training and continuing education programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. CNA certification in the state of employment.
3. Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Compassionate and patient demeanor.
7. Physical stamina to lift and move patients.
8. Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
