Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery
Job Summary:
As an RN in Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing patient care and support during the childbirth process. You will work closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe delivery of babies and the overall well-being of mothers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the health of mother and baby during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and assist with pain management
- Assist with medical procedures such as epidurals and C-sections
- Educate patients on childbirth and newborn care
- Provide emotional support to mothers and families
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- BSN or higher degree in nursing
- CPR and ACLS certification
- Experience in labor and delivery preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
