Job Title: Registered Nurse - Psychiatric
Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients.
2. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
5. Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients in crisis.
6. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's or associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
3. Certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing preferred.
4. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Empathy and understanding of mental health issues.
8. Knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities.
9. CPR and BLS certification.
10. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
