Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, perform administrative tasks, and maintain medical records.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
- Prepare patients for procedures and collect specimens for testing
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with medical procedures
- Record patient information in electronic health records system
- Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and billing tasks
- Ensure compliance with infection control and health and safety protocols
- Provide patient education and support on medical conditions and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified medical assistant program
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in basic medical procedures and terminology
- Knowledge of electronic health records systems
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
