Job Title: RN Labour & Delivery
Job Summary:
The RN Labour & Delivery is responsible for providing care and support to women during childbirth. They monitor the mother and baby's health, administer medications, assist with the delivery process, and provide education on postpartum care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the mother and baby's health during labor and delivery
- Administer medications as needed
- Assist with the delivery process, including performing vaginal exams and monitoring fetal heart rate
- Provide emotional support to the mother and family members
- Educate the mother on postpartum care and breastfeeding techniques
- Document all care provided and communicate with other healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Experience in labor and delivery or maternity care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of childbirth procedures and techniques
