Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic medical environment. You will be tasked with assessing patients, implementing nursing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and monitor patient's condition and vital signs.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
4. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
6. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
7. Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail.
