Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential care and support to patients in healthcare facilities under the supervision of registered nurses. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and monitoring patients' vital signs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
2. Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
3. Helping patients with mobility and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers and muscle atrophy
4. Assisting with feeding and ensuring patients receive proper nutrition
5. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
6. Following care plans and instructions from nursing staff to ensure patients' well-being
7. Documenting patient observations and interactions in medical records
8. Helping to maintain a clean and organized healthcare environment
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Strong communication skills and empathy towards patients
4. Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
5. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility and personal care tasks
6. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and infection control practices
7. Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening
