Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN ER)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) provides vital medical care to patients presenting with various urgent and emergent conditions. This role requires quick thinking, effective communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure during critical situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival in the ER
2. Perform medical procedures such as IV placement, wound care, and medication administration
3. Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms
4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
6. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
