Job Title: Infusion Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Infusion Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As an Infusion Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, administering medications via infusion therapy, and monitoring patient responses closely. Your expertise and attentiveness will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our patients throughout the infusion process. This role requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a compassionate approach towards patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Administer intravenous medications and therapies as prescribed, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.

- Monitor patients during infusion therapy to assess and evaluate their condition, ensuring appropriate responses to any adverse reactions or complications.

- Educate patients and their families about the infusion process, potential side effects, and necessary precautions.

- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.

- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized infusion care plans.

- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients throughout the infusion treatment, building rapport and trust.

- Perform thorough nursing assessments and follow up with appropriate interventions based on patient needs.

- Maintain a professional, organized, and clean environment in the infusion center or clinic.

- Adhere to infection control practices and maintain a high standard of cleanliness to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

- Stay updated on the latest advancements, regulations, and best practices in infusion therapy.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Valid registered nurse license in the state of practice.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of practical infusion therapy experience.

- Proficient in starting and managing intravenous lines and administering intravenous medications.

- Strong knowledge of medication interactions, side effects, and dosage calculations.

- Excellent clinical and assessment skills to monitor and evaluate patient responses during infusion therapy.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide empathetic care and educate patients effectively.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.

- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
