Job Title: Emergency Room RN
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room RN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the emergency department. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients in emergency situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Triage and assess patients presenting to the emergency room.
2. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
3. Monitor and evaluate patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
4. Provide education and support to patients and their families.
5. Assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
8. Provide emotional support to patients and families in crisis situations.
9. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current on best practices in emergency care.
10. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
7. Knowledge of emergency care protocols and procedures.
8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
9. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
10. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
