Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in outpatient care settings by performing various clinical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
- Taking vital signs and documenting patient information
- Administering medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Performing basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
- Scheduling patient appointments and assisting with medical record management
- Providing patient education and assistance with medical procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborating with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- CPR certification
