Job Title: LVN/LPN with Fresenius 2008T Machines Experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) with experience in using Fresenius 2008T hemodialysis machines. As an LVN/LPN at our facility in Augusta, GA, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting in various dialysis procedures. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional care to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) while ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer and monitor hemodialysis treatments to patients using Fresenius 2008T hemodialysis machines, following established protocols and procedures.
- Assess and evaluate patients' physical and mental health conditions before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, fluid intake and output, and laboratory values during and after dialysis sessions.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients' response to medications.
- Assist in vascular access care and maintenance, ensuring dialysis catheters and arteriovenous fistulas are working properly.
- Educate patients and their families on proper dietary and lifestyle changes to manage ESRD effectively.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and promoting a positive dialysis experience.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe dialysis environment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in dialysis technology and attend continuing education programs as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid LVN/LPN license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LVN/LPN in a dialysis setting, specifically with hands-on experience using Fresenius 2008T hemodialysis machines.
- Solid understanding of dialysis principles, procedures, and equipment operation.
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse patient population and healthcare team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide compassionate care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate documentation and patient records.
- Dedication to upholding high ethical standards and compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
