Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide quality care to patients undergoing medical or surgical procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the medical/surgical setting

- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed

- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-operative care

- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers

- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care

Qualifications and Skills:

- Valid RN license in the state of practice

- BLS and ACLS certification

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care

• MS - Nights.
• 12-hour shift.
• 7p-7a.
• 6-week assignment.
• ASAP start.
• Adult/Geriatric population.
• 37 bed unit.
• 5:01 RN ratio.
• Pulmonary, cardiac, GI patient diagnosis.
• 1+ years experience.
• BLS required.
• Meditech charting.
• Might be asked to float to ICU, ED, OB-as helper if low census on unit.
