Job Title: Cytotechnologist (Allied)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join our team. The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for examining cellular samples under a microscope to detect abnormalities and assist in the diagnosis of diseases such as cancer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Examine cellular samples from various body sites to detect abnormalities
- Prepare slides of cellular samples for analysis
- Analyze and interpret cellular findings to assist in the diagnosis of diseases
- Maintain accurate records of all cellular samples analyzed
- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals in diagnosing diseases
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
- Stay current on new developments and technologies in the field of cytotechnology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
- Experience with computer systems and laboratory software
