Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (Allied)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician (Allied) to join our team and ensure the cleanliness, sterility, and functionality of medical equipment and supplies. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be committed to upholding the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
2. Assemble instrument trays and surgical packs according to established protocols.
3. Inspect equipment and instruments for damage or defects.
4. Maintain accurate records of sterilization and decontamination processes.
5. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to infection control.
6. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure sterile processing meets the needs of patients and staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of an accredited sterile processing technician program.
3. Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.
4. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Knowledge of infection control practices and regulations.
