Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. This position requires excellent critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Medical/Surgical unit

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

- Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized care plans

- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care

- Assist with procedures and treatments as needed

- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times

Qualifications and Skills:

• RN should be comfortable Floating to Med/Surg and PCU
• Night Shift, 13 week assignment, possibly longer
• Traveler must hold CURRENT NY license.
• Coronary Care experience needed as well
• Traveler should have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment.
• First time travelers will NOT be considered.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Previous hospital RN experience is preferred
• BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
