Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure a positive patient experience throughout their hospital stay.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and monitor patient's conditions and progress
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans
4. Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatments
5. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients at all times
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
7. Assist with surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
8. Monitor and respond to changes in patient status
9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families
10. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
11. Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
12. Work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
13. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of patient care areas
14. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
15. Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and visitors
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Education: ASN
Experience: Med/Surg, Tele experience preferred
3-5 years of RELEVANT inpatient experience AND previous travel experience required
Requirements: BLS License
COVID Vaccines + Booster required at time of submission.
Active MA license required at time of submissions
Local candidates not accepted
Cannot have worked perm/travel for any Beth Israel facility within the past year.
