**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
**Job Summary:** As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients in need of immediate medical attention. You will assess patients, administer medication, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and effective care is delivered in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the Emergency Department
- Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor patients' vital signs and response to interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Document all patient interactions and interventions in electronic health records
- Adhere to professional standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an emergency department setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
