Job Title: RN Acute Care - Med-Surg Adult
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care team in the Med-Surg Adult unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult patients experiencing acute medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and monitor the condition of adult patients in the Med-Surg unit.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
4. Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care instructions.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
SHIFT: 12-hour night shift including weekend rotation; must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period (following VV’s pay schedule) in place of guaranteed hours that week; if requested due to staffing needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Acute Care/Med Surge/Telemetry or similar RN experience REQUIRED.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a high-pressure environment.
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
