Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery
Job Summary:
The RN Labor and Delivery is responsible for providing care and support to women during the childbirth process. They work closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe delivery of babies and the well-being of mothers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and the health of both mother and baby
- Administer medications and interventions as needed
- Assist with delivery procedures and provide emotional support to mothers
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Must have current NPR certified
- BLS/BCLS
- Previous 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of maternal and newborn health
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
