Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary diseases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of respiratory therapy techniques and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform diagnostic tests to evaluate lung function
- Administer treatments, medications, and oxygen therapy to patients with respiratory issues
- Monitor and assess patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and management techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay current on developments in respiratory therapy and participate in continuing education programs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current state licensure of WY as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients when necessary
CERTS: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NBRC & WY licensure
