Job Title: Registered Nurse - Psychiatric
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialization in psychiatric care to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with mental health disorders in a clinical setting. The role involves assessing patients, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the overall well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of patients
2. Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans
5. Provide education to patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
6. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing
3. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
4. Certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing (PMHN) a plus
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches
8. BLS and ACLS certifications
