Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Med/Surg team. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The Med/Surg RN will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and prioritize patient needs in a Med/Surg setting
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions
4. Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans
5. Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
6. Document all patient information accurately and timely
7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment
9. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg setting
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
7. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
8. Proficient in electronic medical record systems
