Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech
Job Summary:
As a Certified Surgical Tech, you will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, arranging surgical equipment, and assisting medical staff during surgeries. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical operations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare operating rooms for surgery by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
2. Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other necessary items.
3. Maintain a sterile field during surgery to prevent infections and promote patient safety.
4. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
5. Assist with patient positioning and prepare patients for surgery.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
7. Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies used.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
3. Previous experience working as a Surgical Tech preferred.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well as part of a team.
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
8. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations.
