Job Title: Surgical Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to assist during surgical procedures in our medical facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures. The Surgical Technician will also be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient safety at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures
2. Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments and equipment
3. Assist the surgical team during procedures
4. Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgery
5. Monitor patient vitals and assist with patient positioning
6. Provide support to the surgical team as needed
7. Ensure proper disposal of surgical waste and biohazard materials
8. Assist in post-operative care as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a Surgical Technician program or equivalent certification
3. Previous experience working in a surgical setting preferred
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
6. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and patients
7. Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
8. CPR certification required
