Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team. The pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
2. Provide drug information and counseling to patients
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
4. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
5. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication orders
6. Monitor drug therapies to prevent adverse drug reactions
7. Participate in drug utilization reviews and formulary management
8. Conduct medication reconciliation during transitions of care
9. Educate patients on proper medication use and adherence
10. Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
2. Active pharmacy license in the state of practice
3. 2+ years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting
4. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication therapy management
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology
8. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
9. Commitment to ongoing professional development
10. Strong ethical standards and commitment to patient confidentiality
