Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, organizing and sterilizing surgical instruments, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of surgical procedures and the overall well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare the operating room for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery to prevent infections
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly and effectively
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
- Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
