Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in conducting laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory science and be responsible for performing tests on tissue, blood, and other bodily fluids.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests in various areas such as hematology, microbiology, immunology, and chemistry
- Prepare specimens for analysis and accurately record results
- Maintain laboratory equipment and keep an organized work environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in training and mentoring other laboratory staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
