Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in emergency situations. They must be able to work quickly and efficiently in high-stress environments to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triage patients upon arrival to determine urgency of care
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor vital signs and update patient charts
- Assist with medical procedures such as intubation and CPR
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
