Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Nurse
Job Summary: As an RN Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery. You will monitor mothers and babies, administer medications, assist in deliveries, and provide support to families during this special time.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor mothers and babies during labor and delivery
2. Administer medications and IV fluids as needed
3. Assist doctors and midwives during deliveries
4. Provide emotional support and guidance to families
5. Educate mothers on breastfeeding and newborn care
6. Monitor and assess fetal heart rates
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies
8. Document patient care and outcomes accurately
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. BSN or ADN degree from an accredited nursing program
3. Certification in neonatal resuscitation and fetal monitoring
4. Previous experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
8. Ability to work well in a team setting
9. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
