Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will provide essential care to patients in the emergency department. You will assess patients, administer medication, provide treatment, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Quickly assess and prioritize the needs of patients in the emergency room
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Prior experience in an emergency room setting
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
