Job Title: Floor Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Floor Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Floor Nurse, you will be responsible for providing essential nursing care to patients on the floor, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status
2. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms
4. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
6. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and care plans
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
8. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
10. Assist with patient rehabilitation and recovery programs
11. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
12. Stay up-to-date on latest advancements in nursing practices and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing
3. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
7. Organizational and time management skills
8. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
9. Ability to remain calm under pressure
10. Basic computer skills for maintaining electronic health records
