Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room by preparing and sterilizing instruments, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures and provide necessary instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping
- Handle specimens and supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure successful outcomes for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
