Job title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to individuals with physical, mental, or developmental impairments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in evaluating patients' abilities and developing treatment plans
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and report patient progress
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic activities and techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- State licensure or certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
