Job Title: Certified Scrub Tech
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified scrub tech to assist surgical teams in the operating room. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare operating room for surgical procedures
2. Sterilize and set up surgical instruments
3. Assist surgical team during procedures
4. Ensure patient safety and comfort
5. Maintain sterile field throughout surgery
6. Handle specimens and medications as needed
7. Assist with post-operative cleanup and dressing of wounds
8. Communicate effectively with surgical team members
9. Adhere to all hospital protocols and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certification as a scrub tech
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
4. Excellent attention to detail
5. Ability to work well under pressure
6. Good communication skills
7. Ability to work as part of a team
8. Basic computer skills
9. Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time
10. Willingness to work flexible hours
