Job Title: RN Med Surg
Job Summary:
The RN Med Surg is responsible for providing high quality patient care in a medical surgical setting. The nurse will assess patient needs, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patient condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
3. Monitor patient vital signs and adjust care plan accordingly
4. Educate patients and families on disease management and self-care techniques
5. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
6. Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
