Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care and support to expectant mothers throughout the process of childbirth. You will also assist with delivery procedures and provide education and support to new parents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor the mother and baby during labor
2. Assist with delivery procedures, including cesarean sections
3. Provide emotional support to the mother and family
4. Educate new parents on care for the newborn
5. Administer medication and monitor vital signs
6. Document patient information
7. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
8. Assist with postpartum care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program
2. Current RN license
3. BLS and ACLS certification
4. Experience in labor and delivery preferred
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
