Job Title: Mammographer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mammographer to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Mammographer is to perform mammography exams to aid in the detection of breast cancer and other breast abnormalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality images of the breast
- Position patients correctly for imaging and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Evaluate images for quality and ensure that all necessary images are obtained
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures and answer any questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification in mammography from an accredited program
- Current ARRT certification in mammography
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a mammographer
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients
