Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in implementing treatment plans, performing exercises, and monitoring progress to help patients regain mobility and manage pain.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans for patients.
2. Instruct and assist patients with exercises and therapeutic techniques.
3. Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
4. Provide hands-on care to patients during therapy sessions.
5. Communicate with patients and their families to provide education and support.
6. Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
8. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in healthcare practice.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility exercises.
6. Attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient progress.
