Job Summary:
As a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures to diagnose and treat heart conditions, and will play a crucial role in operating specialized equipment, monitoring patients during procedures, and providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Require scrubs for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and for electrophysiology /device implants.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Provide patient education before and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the cath lab.
Qualifications and Skills:
- RCES, RCIS or ARRT (RT) with VI or CI certification
- Electrophysiology and structural heart experience is preferred
- BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA); no exceptions
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience; no exceptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
