Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients using radioactive materials and advanced imaging technology. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of nuclear medicine procedures and possess strong technical skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures
- Position patients for imaging scans and operate imaging equipment
- Monitor patients during scans and ensure their safety throughout the procedure
- Produce high-quality imaging results for interpretation by radiologists
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and regulations
