Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (RN - ED)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in need of immediate medical attention.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triaging and assessing patients upon arrival to the Emergency Department
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring patient vitals and providing ongoing care and support
- Collaborating with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
