Job Title: RN Med Surg
Job Summary:
As an RN Med Surg, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your role will involve attending to the needs of patients with various medical conditions, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
